Dana BakerSINCE 2013

Dana is a lifelong resident of Pope County.  She started her career with the county in 2001, beginning in the Assessor’s Office and also working in the Circuit Clerk’s Office.  She was elected as Assessor in 2013.  She has served as Past President of the Arkansas Assessor’s Association and currently resides on the Association of Arkansas Counties Legislative Board.  She is a Level 4 Senior Appraiser through the International Association of Assessing Officers.  She takes pride in her staff also achieving this goal.

She encourages the residence of Pope County to visit their office for any questions or concerns.  “We are here for you, the patrons of Pope County.  We want to help you in understanding the valuation/appraisal  process and work out any problems you may have” says Baker.

Dana and her husband Rodney live in Atkins.  They have 7 children and 10 grandchildren.  They love spending their spare time visiting different areas of Arkansas.  On any weekend or holiday you may see them jeeping through the Ozarks and visiting the Buffalo River, camping around Greers Ferry Lake or trout fishing the White River.  Enjoying the great outdoors our great state has to offer, is some of their favorite past times.
