VANESSA PIERCE SINCE 2017

I began working in the Assessor’s Office as Deputy Assessor in 2011. I had just moved back home after graduating from UCA with a degree in Mass Communication/Broadcast Journalism. I was born and raised in Dallas County but never had plans to move back after college. Then I met and married my husband Cody, and we decided to stay close to our families and start one of our own. We have two sons, Boston and Emmett.

While serving as Deputy Assessor, I became a certified Level 4 Senior Appraiser. I also completed courses and training in GIS mapping.  I decided to run for Assessor in 2015 and took office in January of 2017. I truly love serving the people of Dallas County. I have a passion for helping people and problem solving. One of my top priorities as an elected official is to help anyone who walks into my office upset to walk out with peace of mind.
