TAMMY MCCARTER SINCE 2003

Tammy resides in Norman with her husband of 43 years David McCarter they have two children, Budger and Mandy, and two Grandsons Kamron and Colten and are the owners of McCarter’s Polk Creek Farms.

Tammy was elected Assessor in 2002 took office in 2003, before that she worked in the Clerk’s office for 10 years. The Past 30 years has been an honor and a privilege to be able to serve Montgomery County.

As Montgomery County Assessor, I have initiated a mapping program that is GIS based, she has also served on the Ouachita -Ozark Resource Advisory Committee, the State Survey Committee, and the Borden-McClendon Scholarship Committee, she has also served on the Arkansas Assessor’s Public Relations Work Group, she has also served on the Arkansas Assessor’s Association Board District 4, she is an active member of the International Association of Assessing Officers, and was a contract person for Governor Mike Beebe’s Office during his term. She is currently serving as a member for the Sampley Foundation Scholarship Fund, and is an active member of Norman First Baptist.

Being the Assessor for Montgomery County has been the most rewarding Job I have ever had.  I have been truly blessed.
